ScotRes is a forum for London-based researchers working on, or interested in, Scottish research topics to meet and debate the topic of Scottish independence.
ScotRes follows the format of academic public engagement events such as PubhD and TED, with the aim to encourage discussion of ideas using accessible language in an informal environment. Although ScotRes may invite ‘established’ researchers, its specific focus is to provide a platform for early career researchers (working inside and outside of academia) to network and develop their ideas.
ScotRes is open to everyone with an interest in research subjects that advance an independent Scotland and is not affiliated to any political party.
Although the forum organisers are pro-independence, ScotRes welcomes researchers to present ideas that highlight criticisms or challenge Scottish independence.
Thanks for visiting!
